This is a DAVID & GOLIATH story, one man versus the casinos. A story about DREAMING BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST. A story about COMPULSION and ADDICTION. Never being satisfied or satiated -- always wanting MORE. Gambling was life itself.

Welcome to Terence Gerchberg's world -- TG to the gambling community -- without a pot to piss in, he conquered tournament blackjack from Atlantic City to Vegas and everywhere in between; before turning 30! With a million dollar casino credit line and every luxury imaginable - complimentary - he was a whale. He won and lost several fortunes, was put through a legal meat grinder and still managed to come out the other end in one piece.

In 1998, Terence, a 24 year old from the wrong side of the tracks, gets a job on Wall Street. He's introduced to high finance, big money and gambling. And this kid has the magic touch.

He kicks ass on the floor, when playing poker, betting on suicide football pools -- anything & everything.  And he never loses. Terry gets pulled into the sexy, alluring world of big-time gambling in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. And he's better than good, he's BRILLIANT, a SUPERSTAR.

The CASINO HOSTS know a good thing when they see one, and reel him in with promises of anything -- ANYTHING -- his heart desires. Terry, now TG, becomes a WHALE.  A whale with ZERO DOLLARS in his bank account and a MILLION DOLLAR CREDIT LINE at the casinos.

Terry can do no wrong: Blackjack is his game of choice, and he rules, winning tournament after tournament. But in the end, the house always wins. His gambling demon gets the better of him and he can't stop. Finally, his LUCK RUNS OUT, starting a horrific downward spiral. At the same time, he has completely alienated FRIENDS, FAMILY, and his GIRL, while growing closer to the CASINO SYCOPHANTS surrounding him.

T.G. checks into gambling rehab. As a patient, he learns to clear his mind by running. It becomes his daily meditation, a mantra to help him ignore the voices in his head.

However, a marker is a marker, and must be PAID -especially in Clark County, Nevada - the only place in the country where debt is punishable with JAIL TIME. The casinos band together to see him put behind bars.

It looks pretty bad for our hero, but in the 11th hour, he manages to slip through their fingers.

Now TG sells real estate and runs marathons. He's left gambling far, far behind. Although, a six figure broker's fee sure would make for nice seed money...
